I imagine a City of Little Rock that provides a better quality of life for all families. This would include more diverse recreational options for families with varying developmental needs. I envision a city where children are reading at grade level by the time they reach third grade, and this contributing toward the decline in poverty, an increase in graduation rates, and children developing a line of sight from where they currently are to the career they dream of having. I picture a city where residents have equitable access to healthcare and a one stop shop for navigating the healthcare system of our city. I visualize a city that closes the skills gap by providing strong workforce development that begins in the K-12 classroom. I dream of a city where everyone has access to safe and affordable housing, and where people of every socio-economic level are welcome and included.
I am married to a southern gentleman and together we have two children. I have navigated being a stay at home mother, as well as leading in the corporate, non-profit and government sectors. I have learned that family is the most important component of a vibrant community.
